There are three new cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand.
All three were detected in managed isolation.
No new community cases were announced.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins announced on Monday, face masks will become mandatory on public transport in Auckland and domestic flights from Thursday.
Children under the age of 12 are exempt, as are students on school buses.
People with medical conditions which prevent them from wearing a mask or face covering safely or comfortably – including people with asthma or a disability – are also exempt.
The penalty for failing to follow the order will be a maximum term of imprisonment of six months, or a fine of up to $4000.
