Labasa football team managed to retain their IDC title after beating Lautoka 2-1 in the final at the ANZ Stadium.
Labasa applied tremendous pressure and gave their all to come back into the match and they managed to level scores through Ilisoni Lolaivalu from a Taniela Waqa free-kick.
It was Ratu Anare scoring the winner in the 78th minute for the Babasiga Lions to clinch the title for the second time in a row.
Labasa and Lautoka side faced each other in the Inter District Championship final after 47 years this afternoon at the ANZ Stadium Suva.
Labasa and Lautoka last met in the IDC final in 1973 which the sugar city side won 1-0 at their home ground.
The Babasiga Lions have won back to back titles first time in the 82-year history of the IDC.
